Fender Standard Japan Telecaster TL-50 Vintage White 2006

Fender Japan Standard Tele, Vintage White, crafted in Japan 2005-6. The J-Standard series existed from the late eighties for a good few decades there, and always represented very good value in my opinion. The Tele version features a 'top loader' bridge, so the strings don't feed through the body. That lends the sound a little more bass and treble rather than mids and emphasises the attack over the sustain a little, and in my opinion, this sounds fantastic. The bridge pickup is extra fat and smooth, while the neck is clean and sparkly. The neck is a comfy slim C shape with a modern 10" radius, which sits perfectly in the hands. The white finish has copped a few knocks, but that lends it some swagger and means you don't have to be too precious about adding to the tally. T-riffic.
