Squier 40th Strat, Lake Placid Blue, made in Indonesia 2021. Squier launched in 1982, alongside Fender Japan, and was very well received both then and for the subsequent decades. These anniversary models were released to celebrate forty years of good stuff, and my oh my isn't it just so pretty? The block inlays, gold hardware and anodized gold guard make the vibrant blue pop perfectly. It's lightweight and easy to play, with an agreeable medium U shaped neck. The tone is classic Strat stuff: bright, chiming and snappy, with a fast tuneful bass. Sure, you could buy a regular sunburst Strat, but why not nab something that matches your snazzy personality?
