Edwards E-TE-92CTM/LT Lake Placid Blue 2010

Edwards T-style, lake placid blue, made in Japan 2010. What a pretty little so andĀ  so this is. Edwards is a division of ESP, offering Fender and Gibson style models to the local Japan market. This one references the classic 1962 Custom Telecaster, so it's a double-bound take on the classic 60s style T. There's a few cute vintage style appointments: slab rosewood board, clay dots, three-saddle bridge, double binding. There's also some Edwards signature moves: modern 10" radius, Seymour Duncan pickups, passive boost via the push/pull tone and a cool 'lacquer taste' nitro top-coat finish. It sounds fantastic: bright and zingy up top, assured and hefty down low, and beautifully open and complex through the mids. The passive boost adds a little fatness and output and darkens up the edges a little, which is awesome for a solo. It looks beautiful too, it's yellowed a little with age and has a whole lot of charm in the flesh. Impressive all around.
